I've been writing since I was a kid. I think before the age of 13. When I was growing up I'd write poetry and lyrics and then when I was 18 I started a heavy metal band with my friends called, In The Wake. We played Warped Tour in 2008 and had music distribution through iTunes. My dream had always been to play big shows to big crowds and we did some of that. We also had the experience of signing autographs and seeing fans sing the words to songs that I wrote in my friend's basement.
Around the age of 22, I met my dad. He reached out to me and we started building a relationship. My band was about to go to New York City to record our debut album with a producer that took notice of us when I reached out to him on MySpace (remember MySpace? Me neither) but some of the members in my band backed out for various reasons. We scheduled our last show and I was left wondering what was next.

His message is both inspiring and practical and his way with words communicates that in the most approachable way.
