Dispelling Shadows

It can be very daunting to think about building an empire. It’s something that comes into existence with our daily decisions that either add to or take away from this particular end. Stay where you’re at. Stay working on what you’re working on right now. Not thinking about how much work it’s going to eventually take to build the empire. All of that work can never get done in a single day, so don’t think on more than a single day.

You know where you want to be but stay focused on where you’re at. I can’t sit in front of one client with the thought of knowing I’ll have to sit in front of thousands before I’m free. The number is too big. Seems unattainable. Because it is; at least if it’s to be done in a single day. That won’t happen.

It’s so easy to get caught in the trap of unfocused thought regarding our goals. Having my end goal in mind is great because it gives me something to aim at, but the process of aiming daily by way of the work I have to do to accomplish this requires my full attention.

Getting a college degree is a great end but the thought of it taking 3-5 or more years to accomplish, turns a lot of people away. Somehow finding joy in the present work that we’re doing, the work that we know contributes to our overarching hopeful achievement, will decrease our stress and lower the inner noise of doubt.

Fuck doubt.

Doubt is a nothing term and has the strength of a shadow

If you’re scared of your own shadow, you might have a problem when doubt rears its stupid head, otherwise, you got this. *fist bumps*

The greatest problem with doubt is that it will get in your way of trying. Failing at something is great! Because you attempted it. Failing at something continually is even greater! Winston Churchill said, “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm!”

When we recognize the value in something, it doesn’t matter how many times we mess up, eventually we’ll get it if we don’t stop. Light causes shadows to flee. Casting the light of your continual action will push doubt further and further back. Until eventually adversity lets up and you succeed. And you will succeed. Believe that. Know that with ever fiber beating in your heart. You will succeed.
