Find Your Lion

There are times that I have to stand up and fight when I’d rather sit down and cry. I am not afraid to shed tears but I will march or crawl forward as they’re streaming down my face. When the only option that makes sense is to quit, I will still stand, even if only in my mind.

When quitting looks like an option, that’s an illusion. I know the thing that rests in my heart is true, I know the thing that rests in my heart is real, I know the thing that rests in my heart will be brought into the world that I can see, and this thing that once rested in my heart will bring rest to my life.

It will take everything in me, and a little bit from somewhere else, to help me stand on my broken knees. But I will stand.

I don’t believe Brokenness came for nothing. She came to make me great. Struggle whispered how to succeed. Defeat told me how to breathe. Death tells us how to live.
