Painting Has The Word Pain In It

It’s really hard for me to think anything awesome can happen when my mind is filled with fear and anxiety. When the elephant, Anxious, sits on my chest and I can barely breathe let alone feel optimistic about anything. Basically, it sucks and that’s really all that there is to it. It sucks. It’s uncomfortable as hell and you just want to jump out of your skin. I’ll say it again, it sucks.

But… it’s necessary to experience in order to live a life that doesn’t suck (Did I just blow your mind?… thought so.)

As we begin to mesh with our darkness, accepting that we’re not living on the brightest planet in the solar system, we’re then on our way to brighter days. Know the beauty that exists in the dynamism of darkness and light coming together.

Things that suck and things that are great mesh into a symphony. Heartsick minors and hopeful majors create harmony. Sometimes consonant, which is pleasing to our ears, and sometimes dissonant, which adds a quality of tension to the sound. I quoted Bruce Almighty in a previous post (because I clearly only watch movies of a deep ethereal meaning) and found another that fits here, “Triumph is born out of struggle. Faith is the alchemist. You can’t paint a beautiful picture without using some dark colors.

I found inspiration for this blog from this video
