Transform

Transformation in you and in your life can happen in a moment. Not over time, some long drawn out process that may or may not be brought to pass, but immediately. As quick as you can snap your fingers, you can make the decision for transformation. From being classified and identified as a miserable or mean person (even if no one else knows this but you), you can instantly establish gratitude in your life and become known as someone that is happy with a pleasant and rested disposition (even if you’re the only one that knows it.)

We hold onto our hurt, focus on what we don’t have (that’s a big hindrance), and finally, fatally, believe we cannot change. Or we believe it’s too late to change. If you have one more second left in your life, you can change. That quick. I love the line in the movie Bruce Almighty when Morgan Freeman says, “People want Me to do everything for them, but what they don’t realize is, they have the power…. That’s everybody’s problem. You keep looking up.” We’re very much waiting for someone to come along and affect change in us, whether that person is God, a love interest, a new baby… but, what happens when we have that encounter and still feel exactly the same? Maybe we feel worse than before because it didn’t change us the way we thought it would.

Ownership of the transformational power that lies within each of us must be taken or we remain dormant, dismal, and waiting. Waiting for a change that will never come because we never made the decision to change.

Oh, and I can’t tell you what you need to change. Only you’re aware of what needs shifting within yourself. Happy transforming, Optimus!
